The Festival of Community held in Grantham marketplace by South Kesteven District Council and produced by Emilie Nunn, was a day and evening illuminating festival celebrating the rich history of the town and a chance to share the spirit of the community.

The Brief

To create an illuminating festival and light up Grantham Market Place.

  • Installation of mobile stage and lighting rig.
  • Sound engineers for live music, comperes and DJ.
  • Projection mapping of a 15m wide historic building.
  • Technical production management for the full event.

Projection Mapping

To create a strong and impactful image we used a large projector providing 35,000 lumens in order to share the artwork looking at the town centres’ past, present and future. Working in collaboration with content creator Vent Media who created the final showpiece with some help from local school children, we were able to project onto Lindpet House, a late 18th century, listed building with clarity and definition.

Mobile Stage

Throughout the day there were a number of singers, poets and comperes on the main events stage. As the lights dimmed and the evening rolled in the exceptional Punjabi Roots had the crowds bouncing. Our sound engineers worked hard to ensure both DJ and MC could be heard over the amazing and impactful dhol drums. Our lighting rig helped to illuminate the Market Place.

Production Management

Working with South Kesteven District Council and event producer Emilie Nunn we provided technical production management for the full day of events.
