LINDLEY:PRODUCTIONS were appointed to provide arts technical management to Frequency an international festival of digital creativity, produced by Threshold Studios and hosted every two years in the historic city of Lincoln.
The festival is an imaginative fusion of art, heritage, media and culture, which aims to give everyone the chance to discover and explore a world of digital art. The installations have popped up in surprising places across the city, filling Lincoln’s historic and hidden corners with some creative delights. From shopping precincts to small wooden structures, from the impressive Lincoln Cathedral to small kiosk desks, we’ve taken digital art to the people.
LINDLEY:PRODUCTIONS provided arts technical management across the festival. Securing a skilled technical crew, necessary equipment and event planning. Working closely with the festival producers and artists to install immersive digital art work in a multitude of venues such as Lincoln Cathedral, St Marys Church, the underground Roman ruins and pop-up galleried in unused shopping units.
The Equipment
A variety of equipment is needed on a festival like this, for example we used Brightsign media players for synced multi channel video installations, Panasonic 6K HD projectors, Genelec surround sound systems and large format TV screens to to ensure the producers and artist could exhibit work in the highest possible quality.
We have been providing arts technical management to Threshold Studios since 2011 and look forward to future projects together.
