Working together with Leicester City Council and ArtReach along with multiple artists and technicians we transformed Leicester City Centre and installed large-scale artworks across the city.
The Brief
Our brief was to work alongside other teams and creatives and production manage the technical elements of the four day event, Leicester Light Night 2022.
Illuminating and installing large-scale artworks across multiple locations is not a task for the faint hearted and the giant humanoids from Amanda Parer’s Fantastic Planet was a fun challenge, we installed huge truss structures to secure these inflatable giants.
Working closely with touring artists to co-ordinate the installation of their artwork is a skill honed over years of experience, creating art galleries in all kinds of indoor and outdoor spaces and we worked with a variety of artists to install their work into this event.
We work hard to ensure the crew are the right set of people needed for this specific project, a mixture of rigging experts, art technicians, sound techs and lighting designers.
From lit rainbow tunnels and colour changing trees to giant heart-shaped disco balls we supplied and managed all the outdoor PA systems and weather-proof lighting from spot lights to moving head stage lights, ensuring the event could be enjoyed whatever the British weather had in mind.
